Group Points - Week 3 & 4 T2 2017

Over the last two weeks we have spent a lot of our time out of the classroom at the pool for our swimming lessons so we combined the group points for the last two weeks. Well done to the Spicy Golden Chicken Wings who took out the last two weeks with a massive 1100 points. Our REP of the week is Zek and Tiger.

Last Session of Swimming

On Friday we had our final session of swimming at the Graham Condon Pool. Over the last two weeks of swimming all students have shown a lot of REP so we decided that we would finish our final session with a big game of dodgeball before heading back to school.

Te Reo Lessons

This term we are completing school wide Te Reo lessons. With the focus on improving pronunciation and growing our confidence to incorporate the language into everyday life.

Big thanks goes to Mr Leys and Miss Bull for creating great resources to help with our learning of Te Reo.

Here is a clip of us learning the alphabet through a Waiata.

We watch this clip below as an igniter for our learning around pronunciation. This was a very engaging clip.

The Tim Tam Slam T2 2017

In writing we have started to look at procedural writing. We have been focussing on writing instructions that are clear and sequenced in chronological order.

We used the Tim Tam Slam as an igniter to engage us in our procedural writing. Once we had completed our writing we followed our instructions and completed the Tim Tam Slam.

This proved to be a very engaging, yummy and messy activity.

Group Points - Week 1 & 2 T2 2017

Start of a new term means the start of a new group points competition. We changed desk groups at the start of week 1 and got straight into the competition. The last two weeks have been close with only 50 points separating first and second.

Week 1 - Team Wildfire and REP of the Week: Emma.

Week 2 - Fantastic Four and REP of the Week: Kaitlyn.

Tech Update T2 2017

This term for tech we have the majority of Room 9 in Science and a handful of students in Cooking/Garden to Table.
