Year 7 Assembly Awards - Week 6 T3 2019

Year 7 Speech Finals 2019

Well done to Boraq and Eva who represented our class at the Year 7 Speech Finals today. Boraq presented a speech on Racism and Eva presented a speech on Bullying.

Boraq has made it through to the full school speech finals next week.

Well done for representing Room 9 we are all proud of both of you.

Mahi Time - Persuasive Speeches T3 2019

Over the last few weeks we have been learning about persuasive writing/speeches. We have been focussing on using persuasive features in our writing as well as how we can engage our audience while presenting our speeches.

We had a range of persuasive topics such as racism, bullying, animal poaching and much more. Everyone has worked extremely hard on their speech and all students have presented their speech to the class.

Friday Good Vibes - Week 5 T3 2019

On Friday we farewelled our student teacher, Miss Dear. Miss Dear has been teaching in Room 9 for the past 5 weeks. Everyone in Room 9 has enjoyed having you in our class and we wish you all the best in the future.

REP Focus - Week 3 & 4 T3 2019

Our school-wide fortnightly REP focus is respecting our environment. As part of our REP programme classes are paired up each fortnight to make a video explaining the fortnightly focus to the rest of the school. This fortnight Room 9 and 10 were paired up to create the REP video.

Mahi Time - Vehicles T3 2019

Over the past few weeks we have been reading and completing activities around vehicles. We have been reading and learning about driverless cars, cars with eyes and much more.

Farewell Minnie and Han

Over the last few weeks we have had Minnie and Han join us in Room 9 from Korea. They have been attending ESOL classes in the morning and then have been spending the rest of their time in Room 9. They also been on trips exploring Christchurch.

We hope you two have had a great time in Room 9 and at Casebrook and wish you safe travels back to Korea.
