Final Youthtown Session for 2019

Today Room 9 and 10 had their last session of Youthtown for the year. This term we have been learning skills that we can apply in cricket and T-Ball.

Thanks to the team at Youthtown for running fun and engaging sessions, we look forward to more next year!

Assembly Badges/Awards - Week 7 T4 2019

Well done to the following students who received a REP badge at assembly today.

Luke and Ashton received their respect badge for earning 40 respect REP cards.

Ben and Nitesh received their excellence badge for earning 40 excellence REP cards.

Makiya and Olie received their perseverance badge for earning 40 perseverance REP cards.

Room 9 also received a Spelling Bee award for coming 3rd in the Year 7 Spelling Bee. Well done to those students who were in the team.

Novel Study Update #1 T4 2019

This term for Mahi Time students are reading one of four novels (Rising Tide, See Ya Simon, Holes or Making Bombs for Hitler) and completing a novel study.

Magic Milk

This week for Inquiry we completed an investigation around 'what will happen to drops of food colouring in milk when you add dish soap?'. We mixed food colouring in milk with dish soap and made observations about the changes that occurred.

We found out that food colouring and milk don't mix, but when dish soap is added it attaches itself to the food colouring making a swirling effect because of the fat in the milk.

Year 7 Assembly Awards - Week 5 T4 2019

Dodgeball Comp Winners 2019

Congrats to the Room 9 dodgeball team who took out the Year 7 inter-class dodgeball competition.

First Youthtown Session T4 2019

Today we had our first session of Youthtown with Room 10 for this term. This term we are focussing on the game T-Ball which relates to our school-wide PE concept of Striking and Feilding.
