Term 1 Casebrook Challenge Assembly 2021

On Friday, we had our Casebrook Challenge Assembly to end a busy Term 1. At this assembly gold Casebrook Challenge badges were handed out.

Well done to the 27 students from Room 6 who received a gold Casebrook Challenge badge! Great to see so many students persevering and earning a gold badge. You can all be very proud of all the hard work you have put into your challenges this term.

This year, we have introduced a new award called the Casebrook Challenge Champ. One student from each class receives this award for their dedication towards their Casebrook Challenge. Well done to Gia who received this award for Room 6. She has put a lot of hard work, time and effort into all her challenges.

Success for Gia and Lucy

Well done to Gia who participated in the Muddy Good Run and came 3rd in the 11 Years Female grade. She also recently swam in the Ruth Woolley Memorial Meet and received her ribbon for beating her PB. Well done Gia you have been smashing it!

Well done to Lucy who has completed her first Science Badge. She completed her study in Food Technology.

St John Mufti Day

Today, we had a yellow and green themed mufti day to raise money for St John Ambulance. In the afternoon we also had an ambulance race where each class got to race the ambulance they had made around an obstacle course.

REP Certificate - Week 11 T1 2021

Each assembly a REP certificate is handed out to one student in each class including our Tech and Spec classes. Well done to Lily who received the REP certificate for Room 6. She received it for consistently showing REP inside and outside the class.

Korfball Lesson

Last week we had Canterbury Korfball come in and take a taster lesson. This was an introduction session for students to learn a bit about Korfball and to see if it is a sport they would like to represent Casebrook in.

REP Star of the Week & Friday Good Vibes - Week 10 T1 2021

Well done to Izzy who was drawn out as our REP Star of the Week and to Manaia and Henrietta who received our Friday Good Vibes postcard for this week. They received it for completing some awesome Casebrook Challenges.

Inquiry - Community Heroes Panel

This term our school-wide Inquiry is based around Community Heroes. Today, Room 5 and 6 had a panel of heroes from our community come in and talk about their lives. 

It was awesome for the students to hear about these peoples lives and how they can use this information to help with their own inquiry into their community hero.

REP Focus - Showing REP at Break Times

Our school-wide REP focus till the end of the term is around showing REP at break times. Check out the video that Room 5 and 6 have made to explain this fortnights focus to the rest of the school community.
