Otago Uni Science Visit

On Monday Room 5 and 6 were lucky enough to have a Science session with Dr Dave Warren from Otago University. The session was based all around biodegradable plastic. An awesome and engaging experience for all the students.

Survivor - Food Challenge

Last week Room 5 and 6's weekly challenge for Survivor was the Food Challenge. Teams were drawn out food to eat at random, if they ate it their team earned 20 points.

Some teams were lucky to get drawn foods, such as chocolate bars, marshmallows or chocolate biscuits. However, some teams weren't so lucky and were drawn out foods, such as mustard, spicy tomato juice, brussel sprouts or sardines.

REP Star of the Week & Friday Good Vibes - Week 3 T2 2021

Well done to Frano who was drawn out as our REP Star of the Week.

Also, well done to Kennedy, Roman and Lucy M who received our Friday Good Vibes postcard for this week. Kennedy received his for showing heaps of perseverance towards our Survivor fitness challenge. Roman and Lucy M received theirs from their Maths teacher Miss McKenzie. They received it for working hard on their maths tasks this week.

Survivor 2021

As part of our fitness training unit for PE, Room 5 and 6 are taking part in a Survivor challenge. Students have been paired up and teams will battle each other to become Survivor champions.

Every PE session students will have the opportunity to earn points by involving themselves in a range of different fitness activities, supporting each other and showing sportsmanship to other teams. Every week we will have a weekly challenge, this will be another opportunity for teams to earn points.

Last week we had our first weekly challenge - The Brain Challenge. Teams were given a set of brain teasers to complete within a set time.

It has been great to see students really getting involved, they are loving the HIIT workouts we have been doing!
