Te Kura Mareko Casebrook REPs shine at Belfast Rugby Club Day.
On Saturday, 20th June, a number of our students took to the rugby field for the Belfast Cobras. It was a fantastic club day on Saturday, with our students showing that whether they are here at school or playing for Belfast, they are true Casebrook REPs.
Both teams put on excellent performances, coming away with two very impressive wins:
- Belfast Y7 Cobras (Won 79–7): The Year 7 boys showed great teamwork and excellence in their skills. Their perseverance on defence was a real highlight, holding the opposition to just a single try.
- Belfast Y8 Cobras (Won 38–0): The Year 8 boys played a dominant, fast-paced game to secure a good win. Most importantly, they showed great respect to the referee and their opposition from start to finish.
Mr Foster, Miss Wilkinson, Mrs Lee, and Miss Lancaster all went along on the day and thoroughly enjoyed watching both games and supporting the players from the sidelines.
Congratulations to all the players involved. It is wonderful to see our students living our REP expectations out in the wider community!
